Shenzhen Biorocks Co., Ltd. (Biorocks), founded in 2017, is a high-tech company specialising in automated cell operation technology. Since its establishment, the company has focused on automating upgrades in the fields of cell biomedicine, animal husbandry and laboratory animals, dedicated to providing fully automated, standardised, high-throughput solutions for the entire process of cell screening, culture, vitrification, freezing and thawing. Currently, the company has applied for and owns 120 core patents, including 19 invention patents and 43 PCT international patents.
In the lab, freezing and thawing embryos heavily rely on manual operations, which are tedious and require a lot of experience. To tackle this industry challenge, Biorocks has poured research efforts into independently developing the world's first 'high-throughput automatic embryo vitrification and thawing system'. This system innovatively applies cutting-edge microfluidic technology, truly achieving fully automated and high-throughput embryo vitrification, greatly reducing the workload for lab staff and effectively minimising human error, reshaping standard lab procedures.

The team not only has strong academic foundations but also hands-on experience in microfluidic applications, advanced medical device R&D, precision manufacturing, medical device registration, and building global sales systems.

The company has successfully completed five rounds of investment from well-known institutions, including Lenovo Ventures (one of China's top 20 strategic investors), Shenzhen Gaoxin Venture Capital (one of China's top 50 venture capital firms), Lihhe Kechuang (one of China's top 30 early-stage investment institutions) and multiple rounds from Qingke Venture Capital. It has been awarded the titles of 'Specialised, Refined, Unique and Innovative' enterprise and 'Innovative SME'. At the same time, the company has repeatedly won awards in top domestic and international tech innovation competitions.
