Company Overview

Founded in 2017, Biorocks is a biotechnology company dedicated to advancing automation in cell and embryo manipulation.

Our technologies support applications across biomedicine, livestock breeding, and laboratory animal research, covering key processes such as cell selection, culture, vitrification, and warming. By combining automation, standardization, and high-throughput capabilities, we help laboratories and breeding programs improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

Biorocks has established a growing intellectual property portfolio comprising 120 patent applications and granted patents, including 19 invention patents and 43 PCT applications.

Pioneering Technology and Core Products

High‑Throughput Automated Embryo Vitrification & Warming System

Embryo vitrification and warming have traditionally relied heavily on manual operation, making results highly dependent on operator experience. To address this challenge, Biorocks developed an automated, high-throughput embryo vitrification and warming platform based on proprietary microfluidic technology. The system reduces hands-on workload and operator-dependent variability while supporting more standardized and reproducible laboratory workflows.

Core Team

Behind Biorocks' innovation is a multidisciplinary team of PhD and postdoctoral researchers from leading institutions in China and abroad, including Harvard University, Tsinghua University, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In addition to strong academic credentials, the team brings extensive practical experience in microfluidic technologies, high-end medical-device development, precision manufacturing, medical-device registration, and the development of global sales networks.
